West Ham have completed the signing of Danny Ings from Aston Villa.

The Hammers officially unveiled the 30-year-old, who has joined the East London club until 2025, today.

A statement released by West Ham has confirmed that all paperwork had been submitted before the midday deadline on Friday, meaning Ings should be eligible to face Everton on Saturday.

On the move, he said: "I’m really excited to join West Ham United, it’s important I settle in as quickly as I can do — and do the important stuff on the pitch for West Ham.

"We’ve got some massive games ahead of us and I’ve come here to try and score as many goals as I can to help the team to get some positive results.

"I am really looking forward to getting started."

West Ham confirmed the three-cap England international will wear the No18 shirt.

The striker will be a welcome boost for David Moyes as he tries to steer the Hammers clear of the relegation zone.

Ings has scored 68 goals in 188 Premier League appearances across spells with Burnley, Liverpool, Southampton and the Villans.

He has featured in 18 top-flight games so far this season but 10 of those outings were from the bench.

Following Unai Emery's arrival at Villa Park, Ings scored two goals in a win over Brighton and a crucial equaliser against Wolves but the Spaniard has opted to sanction his top scorer's exit.

Moyes is in desperate need of help with West Ham occupying a relegation spot in 18th — one point clear of safety — after a run of seven defeats in eight league games.

His side have scored just 12 times in 19 top-flight matches and the Scot will need Ings to step up immediately.

With Ollie Watkins left as Villa's only senior striker, Emery confirmed the Midlands outfit's plans to sign a replacement despite the capture of 19-year-old Jhon Duran.
