Transfer Talk: Liverpool, Chelsea and Real eye Newcastle star Bruno
Newcastle face a battle to keep hold of midfield star Bruno Guimaraes as Europe’s biggest clubs circle.
The Brazilian has a deal until 2026 at St James’ Park and the Magpies are said to be keen to offer him improved terms.
But Brazilian media report that Real Madrid, Liverpool and Chelsea are all keeping a close eye on the 24-year-old.
Guimaraes has been a revelation since swapping Lyon for Tyneside in a £40million move last January.
Newcastle sit fourth in the Premier League after 12 games with the midfielder scoring twice and notching two assists in nine starts.
Such is his influence that the Toon Army failed to win any of the three games Guimaraes missed with a hamstring injury.
Real have reportedly identified him as a Casemiro replacement after his fellow countryman moved to Manchester United in the summer.
Liverpool continue to look for midfield reinforcements and Guimaraes is genuine option alongside Jude Bellingham, while Chelsea may lose N’Golo Kante and Jorginho come the end of the season.
And if the eight-cap international opts against signing a new contract at Newcastle, a bidding war looks likely.
