Transfer Talk: Musiala steps closer to City move after snubbing Bayern offer
Jamal Musiala has rejected a new deal from Bayern Munich, increasing the likelihood of a summer switch to Manchester City.
Musiala, 21, is under contract until 2026 but is ready to exit the crisis club in order to continue his development at City.
Bayern lie seven points behind Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga table and trail Lazio 1-0 following their Champions League last-16 first-leg defeat in Rome.
Boss Thomas Tuchel announced last month that he will be leaving the Bavarian giants at the end of his first full season at the Allianz Arena.
The Daily Star say Etihad chiefs may face competition from Liverpool to complete a purchase however.
Chelsea may also launch an audacious bid to bring their former academy product back to West London.
Bayern are thought to be holding out for £80million while the player's agent will ask for a £200,000-a-week salary.
Musiala has appeared 153 times for Bayern since making his debut in June 2020 and received 25 caps for Germany.
