LaLiga Predictions - Week 22
- Osasuna have drawn more games than any other LaLiga side
- Athletic Bilbao have won three of their last four away games by a 2-1 scoreline
- Leganes and Rayo Vallecano have 16 league draws between them
Atletico Madrid lost ground in the LaLiga title race last weekend but, with just nine points separating the top four, there is still everything to play for in gameweek 22.
Alex Wrigley has correct-score picks for all 10 LaLiga matches this weekend.
Leganes vs Rayo Vallecano (Friday, 8pm)
Only Osasuna have drawn more LaLiga games than Leganes and Rayo Vallecano this season, and a fourth successive 1-1 draw away from home could be on the cards for the visitors.
Score prediction: Leganes 1-1 Rayo Vallecano
Getafe vs Sevilla (Saturday, 1pm)
Only four points separate these sides and a tight affair is expected in Getafe. The hosts drew their last home game 1-1 and Sevilla have played out two 1-1 stalemates in their last three league assignments.
Score prediction: Getafe 1-1 Sevilla
Villarreal vs Real Valladolid (Saturday, 3.15pm)
Real Valladolid are rock-bottom of the LaLiga table and have lost their last five away games. They have conceded twice or more in four of these and face a Villarreal side that has scored 11 goals in the last five at Estadio de la Ceramica.
Score prediction: Villarreal 2-0 Real Valladolid
Atletico Madrid vs Mallorca (Saturday, 5.30pm)
Atletico Madrid are still in the title race and have dropped only two points in their last seven home games. They have won to nil in three of these, and visitors Mallorca have lost three of their last five away games without scoring.
Score prediction: Atletico Madrid 1-0 Mallorca
Espanyol vs Real Madrid (Saturday, 8pm)
Espanyol have been a tough nut to crack at home, but LaLiga leaders Real Madrid have scored three goals in three of their last four away games and should get the points. A consolation goal could be on the cards though, with the hosts having scored in eight of their last 10 at home.
Score prediction: Espanyol 1-3 Real Madrid
Barcelona vs Alaves (Sunday, 1pm)
Alaves are unbeaten in three away games and two of those have been 2-2 draws, while Barcelona have only won one of their last five league games.
Score prediction: Barcelona 2-2 Alaves
Valencia vs Celta Vigo (Sunday, 3.15pm)
Valencia have started to show signs of life with five points from their last five games and a second successive 1-0 win at home could be on the cards against a visiting Celta side who are winless in six away games.
Score prediction: Valencia 1-0 Celta Vigo
Osasuna vs Real Sociedad (Sunday, 5.30pm)
Osasuna are LaLiga’s draw specialists and a third successive 1-1 draw is a good choice against a Real Sociedad outfit that has won just one of the last five.
Score prediction: Osasuna 1-1 Real Sociedad
Real Betis vs Athletic Bilbao (Sunday, 8pm)
Athletic Bilbao are in fantastic form and have won their last two away games by a 2-1 scoreline, so take that against a Real Betis side that has conceded eight in the last four at home.
Score prediction: Real Betis 1-2 Athletic Bilbao
Girona vs Las Palmas (Monday, 8pm)
Girona have failed to hit the heights of last season, but they have scored at least three goals in three of their last five home league games and should beat a Las Palmas side which has earned just one point from the last nine available.
Score prediction: Girona 3-1 Las Palmas
