Chesterfield kept their unbeaten home record this season alive despite a frustrating 1-1 draw with Cheltenham in League Two.

Dilan Markanday scored for the hosts with Arkell Jude-Boyd on target for Cheltenham.

Cheltenham’s best chance in the first half came from an early set-piece from Tom Young, which forced a near-post save from keeper Ryan Boot.

Chesterfield’s goal came in the 27th minute after James Berry effortlessly breezed past multiple defenders before cutting the ball back to Markanday, who was able to convert into the net.

Cheltenham equalised early in the second half after a ball went over Chesterfield’s defence. Boot failed to clear, leaving an open goal for Cheltenham’s Jude-Boyd to shoot at and he duly delivered.

Liam Dulson had the chance to win the game for Cheltenham late on. However, the tight Chesterfield defence put him under enough pressure as he sent the ball wide.
