Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal wishlist includes a trio of young English full-backs.

The Gunners will continue to strengthen their squad in January as they back boss Arteta.

And they are looking to conclude deals for at least one homegrown defender in the next two windows.

Reports in Spain say Tariq Lamptey and Max Aarons are being watched by Arsenal, with injured Leicester star James Justin also on their radar.

Lamptey, 21, shone for the Seagulls in the first half of last season following a move from Chelsea before injuries curtailed his campaign.

And Justin, 23, was another who looked on the verge of an England call-up before suffering a cruciate ligament injury that has kept him out since March.

He broke into the Foxes’ first team last season following a move from Championship side Luton.

At Carrow Road, 21-year-old Aarons, another Hatters academy graduate, has been part of two Championship winning squads for Norwich as well as already having a season of Premier League experience under his belt.

Summer signing Takehiro Tomiyasu has been starting at right-back recently for the Gunners but Arteta wants more competition in his squad.

Lewa's City desire

Manchester City are a "possible destination" for wantaway Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski.

The Polish star has reportedly expressed his desire to leave the German giants next summer after eight years at the club.

And now his agent Pini Zahavi has said he could end up at the Etihad, according to German publication BILD.

There will be no shortage of takers for the 33-year-old who has netted a phenomenal 307 goals in 339 games for Bayern.

But City have a need for a striker after their pursuit of Harry Kane failed in the summer.

Pep Guardiola was the boss who brought Lewandowski to Bavaria in 2014 and that may help City land their man, if they want him.

Speaking recently, Lewandowski said: "I'm in good shape physically and have the right mentality.

"I can play for many more years, I'm sure at least four more years. And then I will see, maybe I can raise the bar even higher.

"This summer I had the best results in my career. If I was 27 a year ago, I am now either 25 or 26. My stats are better than ever."
