Harry Kane looks certain to depart Tottenham this summer

Manchester City are ready to pip local rivals Manchester United to the signature of Tottenham talisman Harry Kane

Spurs now appear resigned to losing their biggest asset and England captain Kane, 27, is thought to favour staying in England, putting City, United and Chelsea on red alert.

And the Daily Star report it is Pep Guardiola’s Premier League champions who are winning the race, with the forward set to meet Spurs chairman Daniel Levy for showdown talks in the coming days.

While Levy is said to be furious at the prospect of losing Kane, he is renowned for his astute business acumen and will likely accept a summer exit is best for all parties if a suitable fee is agreed.

City are thought to have the advantage financially. But given the England star has three years left on his contract in North London, a bid of more than £150million may be required to get the ball rolling.

While Kane could be destined for the Etihad, one man who definitely will not be there next season is Sergio Aguero, with the legendary Argentine’s move to Barcelona reportedly nearing completion.

Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo say the deal to take Aguero, 32 to the Camp Nou is 80% done, with an announcement expected shortly after City’s Champions League final clash with Chelsea.

Aguero, 32, has scored more than 250 goals during a decade-long stay with the Citizens and will hope to add some Spanish success to his long CV in Catalonia.

Buendia Emi-rates bound?

Arsenal are ramping up their efforts to sign Norwich's creative lynchpin Emiliano Buendia as an alternative to Martin Odegaard, according to Goal

It is thought technical director Edu is particularly keen on the creative midfielder, who has been watched by the North Londoners on a number of occasions this term.

Mikel Arteta is desperate to add more flair to his ranks after a tough campaign at the Emirates and Buendia, 24, fits the bill perfectly.

With his 15 goals and 17 assists helping Norwich romp to the Championship title, it is thought at least £40m will be required to prise him away from Carrow Road.
