Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino is weighing up a reunion with Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar this summer.

The former Tottenham boss may have to move quickly to secure a stand-in for Christopher Nkunku, who is set for an extended spell on the sidelines, according to The Guardian

Reports from RMC Sport suggest that the Blues have maintained contact with the Brazilian's representatives across the transfer window, although his preferred destination would be Barcelona.

The 31-year-old has a working relationship with Pochettino, who spent 18 months in charge of PSG, and could join his former boss at Stamford Bridge.

Brazil's 124-cap international still has two years remaining on his contract in France, but he may be allowed to depart for a reduced fee.

The Ligue 1 champions would benefit by getting his huge wages — reported to be worth around £600,000 a week — off the books.

Neymar made just 20 appearances in the French top flight last season but managed a return of 13 goals and 11 assists.

His experience and quality on the ball could help accelerate Pochettino's rebuild in West London as the Blues aim to return to the top following a dismal campaign in 2022-23.
