Burton’s League One survival hopes suffered a blow as they let a two-goal lead slip to draw 2-2 with Peterborough.

Kegs Chauke and Rumarn Burrell both scored their first EFL goals inside the opening half-hour to put the Brewers in charge, but Archie Collins and Emmanuel Fernandez struck for Posh to earn a draw.

Chauke got Albion off to a fantastic start after just six minutes, sliding in to convert Dylan Williams’ low cross in from the left.

Chris Conn-Clarke had two efforts for the visitors saved by Max Crocombe before Burton doubled their lead in the 26th minute, Burrell getting his head to Danilo Orsi’s curling cross to score from close range.

Albion’s hopes of taking a two-goal lead into half-time were dashed when Collins drilled in from 25 yards after a Peterborough corner.

Posh continued to press after the break and, after a couple of near misses in the first half, centre-back Fernandez grabbed the leveller with a near-post header from Conn-Clarke’s corner.
