- Portsmouth have won their last four games at Fratton Park and six of the last seven
- Millwall have won just two of their 13 Championship away games
- Recommended bet: Portsmouth to win

John Mousinho saw his Portsmouth side brushed aside by West Bromwich Albion at the weekend but they will be confident of a quick return to form when they get back to the home comforts of Fratton Park.

League One winners last season, Pompey are in a scrap for Championship survival this time around and their hopes sit heavily on gains made at home.

Millwall are five points and five places above their hosts after edging out strugglers Luton Town on Saturday.

Team news

With games coming thick and fast for Pompey, Mousinho opted to make five changes from the side that beat Stoke as his side were swept aside at West Brom.

Christian Saydee, Zak Swanson, Terry Devlin, Andre Dozzell and Ryley Towler were all restored to the starting line-up, while new signing Thomas Waddingham came off the bench to score and will be hoping for a start now.

Ibane Bowat, Jacob Farrell, Conor Shaughnessy and Kusini Yengi are still on the injured list.

Alex Neil handed Tristan Crama a first Millwall start in the win at Kenilworth Road and Mihailo Ivanovic was recalled before scoring the only goal.

Ryan Leonard and Macaulay Langstaff missed out with injury and will be assessed again, with the Lions boss likely to make few alterations.

The stats

Portsmouth have taken 16 points from the last 18 available at home.

Pompey have scored 16 goals and conceded only three in that sequence.

Millwall have only scored 11 goals in 13 away games in the Championship.

Both of their away wins came via 0-1 scorelines.

Millwall have won their last two visits to Fratton Park by that same scoreline and are unbeaten in five against Pompey.

Under 2.5 goals have been scored in four of the last five meeting between these clubs at Fratton Park.

Prediction

Despite the fact that Millwall have a good record in this fixture, the clubs have met only twice since 2012 with both meetings in the Carabao Cup.

Portsmouth boss Mousinho was left angry at the way his team completely capitulated at The Hawthorns, having gone into the fixture on the back of successive south coast victories.

Their home form has been exceedingly good, with at least three goals scored in five of their six wins during a seven-game unbeaten run in the league stretching back to October.

Since a 4-3 loss at Bristol City in August, Millwall have scored just eight goals in 12 Championship games on the road, only once scoring more than one goal in a single game.

Mousinho will demand a response on home soil and with teenage Australian striker Waddingham netting in his debut cameo at West Brom, they have the firepower to hurt Millwall and continue their recent excellence Fratton Park.
