Espanyol can no longer draw their way out of the relegation zone and will see the visit of a Real Valladolid side that have been awful away from home as a big opportunity to pick up all three points.

Real Betis vs Alaves (Saturday, 5:30pm)

Real Betis aim to bounce back from their loss to 19th-placed Real Valladolid when they host 17th-placed Alaves. The visitors have been tough to beat recently, drawing four of their last five LaLiga matches.

Getafe vs Barcelona (Saturday, 8pm)

Barcelona have dropped points in three of their last four away league games, but they should have too much quality for a Getafe side who have not beaten a team lying higher 14th in the table this season.

Celta Vigo vs Athletic Bilbao (Sunday, 1pm)

Fully focused on a top-four finish after their Copa del Rey defence was ended by Osasuna this week, Athletic Bilbao should grab another single-goal win in this fixture.

Celta Vigo may be jaded after taking Real Madrid to extra-time in the cup on Thursday.

Real Madrid vs Las Palmas (Sunday, 3:15pm)

Real Madrid will be looking to keep pressure up on Atleti at the top of the table when they host Las Palmas.

Basement club Valencia welcome resurgent Real Sociedad to the Mestalla in an intriguing clash. Sociedad are pushing for the European places and will provide too stern a test for the relegation-threatened hosts.

Villarreal vs Mallorca (Monday, 8pm)

Mallorca, with five wins in their last eight away games, have a great chance over overhauling Villarreal at Estadio de la Ceramica.

Marcelino’s men have won only one of their last seven and were recently beaten at home by 10-man Betis.
