Hartlepool held at home by Tamworth

Hartlepool and Tamworth were forced to share the spoils after drawing 2-2 in the National League.

Pools went in front after 16 minutes when Gary Madine whipped a cross into Reyes Cleary, who found the net with a curling effort into the far corner.

However, the Lambs responded twice in the closing stages of the first half when Jordan Ponticelli struck from inside the box in the 44th minute and Beck-Ray Enoru put them in front when he smashed the ball home just two minutes later.

Hartlepool equalised on the hour when Mani Dieseruvwe took the ball around goalkeeper Jas Singh before slotting home.

The hosts pushed for a winner as Madine sent an effort over the crossbar and both Cleary and Dieseruvwe came close in the final minutes, but Singh made two good saves to earn a point.
