League Two Doncaster will be sniffing a FA Cup upset on Monday when Premier League Crystal Palace head to the Keepmoat Stadium for a fourth-round clash on Monday night.

The visiting Eagles have won their last three away matches by a 2-0 scoreline, though, so toppling Oliver Glasner’s side will not be a straightforward task for Grant McCann’s team.

Team news

Doncaster have no fresh injury or suspension concerns, although veteran striker Billy Sharp could be given a chance to make his mark.

Ben Chilwell could make his debut after joining Palace on loan from Chelsea, while Chris Richards and Matheus Franca may also be involved.

Eddie Nketiah is doubtful, however, while Eberechi Eze, Chadi Riad and Cheick Doucoure have all been ruled out.

Crystal Palace have won four of their last five games without conceding.

The Eagles have scored first in nine of their last 10 away matches.

Five of Palace’s last six matches have featured fewer than three goals.

Palace have won three of their last four games by a 2-0 scoreline.

Doncaster have scored more than once in five of their last 13 home matches.

Rovers have conceded in 10 of their last 11 games at the Keepmoat.

Prediction

Doncaster will take confidence from the fact they have won four of their last five home matches when they take on Crystal Palace in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Monday, but they will still do well to break through a tight Eagles defence.

Oliver Glasner’s team look a lot stronger than when they struggled for wins in the opening months of the season and they should still be buzzing from the 2-0 win they claimed at Manchester United last Sunday.

Jean-Philippe Mateta was on target twice in that game and Glasner elected to pick a strong team in the previous round against Stockport, so there seems little chance that the south Londoners will be taking anything for granted.

Rovers will be hopeful of giving a good account of themselves after they beat Championship Hull in round three on penalties and won their next four games before Thursday’s 5-2 defeat at Chesterfield.

The Yorkshire outfit have won four of their last five matches at the Keepmoat, but plainly do not come up against opposition of Palace’s quality often and the visitors can claim a fourth successive away clean sheet following their win at Old Trafford and preceding 2-0 successes at Leicester and West Ham.
