Rochdale dropped out of the National League play-off places after being held to a goalless home draw by bottom-club Ebbsfleet.
The visitors, on a winless league run of 21 matches, went close from their first corner in the 31st minute when defender Tom Dallison headed over.
Dale, beaten by promotion rivals Oldham on Tuesday night, threatened shortly before half-time when Sam Beckwith’s long-range effort was spilled by Fleet goalkeeper Mark Cousins.
In the second half, Ebbsfleet defender Franklin Domi saw his shot from Josh Passley’s cross go just wide.
Dale midfielder Tarryn Allarakhia curled a 20-yard strike over before a late looping effort from Domi was palmed away by Sam Waller and a header from Fleet substitute Maxx Manktelow was off target.
