Oldham fought back from two goals down to draw 2-2 at home to Altrincham in the Vanarama National League.
Altrincham ‘s Alex Newby broke the deadlock at Boundary Park when he netted past Oldham debutant goalkeeper Jake Dennis four minutes before half-time.
The visitors then doubled their lead shortly after the restart through Regan Linney, who cut inside and curled a shot into the far left-hand corner.
But Oldham, who were unbeaten in four matches, began their comeback when James Norwood found the right corner of the Altrincham goal in the 57th minute.
And Josh Lundstram took advantage of an error by goalkeeper Calen Ansen in the 81st minute to ensure the points were shared.
