Jodi Jones bags brace as Notts County hit back to beat Bromley
Notts County produced a stunning turnaround to come back from two goals down to beat Bromley 4-2 and move top of League Two.
A lightening start to the game saw three goals inside the first 13 minutes.
Bromley scored with their first two attacks, Michael Cheek (4) turning home Idris Odutayo’s low cross with Ben Thompson firing a low effort past goalkeeper Alex Bass moments later.
However, Jodi Jones halved the deficit from the penalty spot just shy of the quarter hour.
The second half sprang to life in a similar pattern to the first.
Dan Crowley and substitute Alassana Jatta were denied by Bromley keeper Grant Smith and Odutayo but when the ball was recycled Crowley was on hand to shoot home via a deflection.
Jatta then turned goal scorer, starting and finishing the move that led to County taking the lead as he shot low past Smith after collecting Crowley’s through ball.
With Bromley chasing the game, Byron Webster saw his volley tipped over by Bass but it was Jones who put the game to bed in the final minute, firing home from 20 yards.
