Another cracking weekend of football action is set to unfold across Europe with Leeds frontman Joel Piroe and Bournemouth ace Antoine Semenyo two headline acts ready to find the net.

Leeds have got amends to make after last weekend's disappointing 1-0 loss at Blackburn, but back at Elland Road they will fancy they can overpower Derby.

Daniel Farke's Whites have won seven of their nine home games in the Championship this season, including each of their last six.

Their top scorer Joel Piroe has found the net in the last three of those — against Plymouth, QPR and Luton — and the seven-goal Dutchman will be licking his lips at shackling a Rams' rearguard that has recorded just one clean sheet since September.

Bournemouth were electric when beating Tottenham 1-0 on Thursday night and no one was more impressive than the in-form Antoine Semenyo.

The former Bristol City flier tormented Spurs' defence constantly and will be disappointed that neither of his two shots hit the target.

Semenyo has scored four times already this season and firing off 4.2 shots per game, Ipswich had better beware.

Patrick Schick picked up a calf injury in Bayer Leverkusen's 1-0 win at Bayern Munich in the DFB Pokal on Tuesday.

That means the five-goal Czech ace misses out on a home Bundesliga clash with St Pauli, with Nathan Tella expected to lead Xabi Alonso's three-man front line.

Opportunities have naturally been limited for the former Burnley and Southampton ace but he took his chance at the Allianz Arena during the week, scoring the only goal of the game. Back him to get his first league goal of the season against struggling St Pauli.

Barcelona have looked like a different team with Lamine Yamal back from injury and the youngster was certainly at the heart of everything good in their 5-1 romp at Mallorca on Tuesday.

That the 17-year-old did not score was a surprise but he will never stop trying — only Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappe is averaging more shots than Yamal in LaLiga this season.

Yamal should be taken to add to his five league goals — seven in all competitions — at Real Betis.

Alfie May emerged from a two-month League One scoring drought during the week by netting both goals as Birmingham beat promotion rivals Stockport at St Andrew's.

Suitably revived, expect a man who has netted 20 goals or more in each of the past three seasons to have got the taste for scoring back, something he can demonstrate at Barnsley.
