Leeds are on course for a return to the Premier League and, while Wednesday's trip to in-form Coventry is another test of their promotion mettle, the Whites can emerge unscathed to extend their lead at the top of the Championship.

Leeds look to be the outstanding team in the second tier and even though Sheffield United and Burnley will have other ideas, it would be a surprise if the Whites do not go on and win the title.

Daniel Farke's side are on a 12-game unbeaten league run and the manner of their 7-0 home demolition of Cardiff at the weekend sent out a message to the rest that the Yorkshire giants will take some stopping in the second half of the campaign.

Coventry have impressed as well since the turn of the year and have beaten Bristol City, Watford, Swansea and Blackburn in recent weeks to suggest they can compete for at least a top-six place under Lampard.

However, up against the leaders their winning run looks set to come to an end. City have only failed to score in one of their last 11 games and while Leeds' defence has been watertight lately, the hosts can score in a narrow defeat.
