Wolves and Ipswich are in the Premier League relegation zone after picking up only nine points from 15 games this season and both suffered frustrating 2-1 defeats last time out.

Promoted Ipswich were on course for a first home win of the campaign on Sunday, leading Bournemouth 1-0 in the 87th minute at Portman Road before conceding two late goals.

And Wolves are bidding to bounce back from Monday's narrow loss at West Ham, which increased the pressure on Wanderers boss Gary O'Neil going into their crucial clash with the Tractor Boys at Molineux.

Wolves will assess the fitness of winger Pablo Sarabia and goalkeeper Jose Sa but midfielder Joao Gomes is suspended. Sasa Kalajdzic, Boubacar Traore, Enso Gonzalez and Yerson Mosquera are injured.

Ipswich are likely to be missing George Hirst and Axel Tuanzebe until the new year. Janoi Donacien is also sidelined and Chiedozie Ogbene is not expected to feature again this season.

Prediction

Wolves have confirmed that O'Neil will be in charge for Saturday's Premier League home fixture against fellow strugglers Ipswich and the hosts are desperate for a victory.

They are already four points from safety, having failed to kick on after November's 2-0 home win over bottom club Southampton and a surprise 4-1 victory at Fulham.

Wolves have lost their three subsequent league matches, conceding 10 goals in defeats to Bournemouth, Everton and West Ham, and over 3.5 goals looks a good bet when they host Ipswich.

Neither team can afford to play for a draw and Wolves have been involved in a host of high-scoring games this season, losing 6-2 at home to Chelsea in August and 5-3 at Brentford in October.

Their last home fixture produced a 4-2 defeat to Bournemouth so Ipswich should be confident of troubling O'Neil's leaky defence.

The Tractor Boys have posed a consistent goal threat away from home, beating Tottenham 2-1 in north London to claim their only league win of the season just before November's international break.

However, they also look vulnerable at the back, losing 4-1 at Manchester City and West Ham and going down 4-3 at Brentford, so a tense but entertaining contest looks likely at Molineux.
