Leeds can get back on track after Saturday's FA Cup fourth-round loss at home to Millwall when they visit Watford in the Championship on Tuesday.

Manager Daniel Farke fielded a second-string side for the cup fixture, which came just three days after a 2-0 league win at Coventry, with Ethan Ampadu the only player to retain his place in the starting line-up against the Lions.

The Whites are set to revert to their full-strength side for their midweek trip to Hertfordshire and they are understandably short-priced favourites to extend their unbeaten league run.

Leeds had kept six successive clean sheets before the Millwall game and have had few problems scoring themselves, crushing Cardiff 7-0 at Elland Road before their trip to Coventry.

Watford are in a solid 10th place in the table and recorded their best result for some time when drawing 2-2 against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday. They again failed to find a way to win despite leading 2-1 after 88 minutes, though, and they had lost seven of their nine games before that.

The Hornets' last two wins both came against struggling sides in promoted pair Portsmouth and Derby and they could struggle to keep the leaders at bay.

Team news

Watford's Vakoun Bayo is serving the second match of a three-game suspension for his red card against Norwich. The Hornets will also be without Kwadwo Baah (thigh), Pierre Dwomoh (thigh) and goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann (ankle).

Leeds are set to reinstate their regular starters after making widespread chances for the FA Cup tie against Millwall on Saturday. Striker Patrick Bamford is the only player ruled out due to injury with a hamstring issue.

The stats

Leeds have lost only three of their 31 Championship matches and their goal difference of +43 is 15 better than any other team in the division.

The Whites have kept clean sheets in four of their last five away games, while Farke's side have scored 14 times since they last conceded a league goal.

Leeds scored twice in the first seven minutes when they beat Watford 2-1 at home in September, but nine of Watford's 12 league wins this season have come at home.

However, the Hornets have won only one of their last 10 matches in all competitions.

Prediction

The Championship leaders are expected to put their FA Cup setback behind them at Watford but their match odds are cramped, so a goalscorer bet is preferred.

Leeds forward Piroe is second in the Championship goalscorer charts with 13 this season and he has led the line well in the absence of the injured Bamford over the last month.

Piroe opened the scoring in Leeds' 2-0 win over Coventry last week, having bagged a double in the 7-0 thrashing of Cardiff. With Watford keeping only one clean sheet in their previous 14 matches, Piroe looks worth backing to grab a goal in Hertfordshire.
