Doncaster secured a fourth consecutive league victory as a 2-1 win over MK Dons cut the gap on leaders Walsall to seven points.

Joe Ironside powered Rovers ahead in the first half, only for Scott Hogan to level after the break.

But substitute Rob Street’s fine finish saw the hosts deservedly claim all three points at the Eco-Power Stadium.

After an even opening to the game, Doncaster took the lead in the 31st minute when Ironside pounced on a mistake at the back before sending a powerful low finish into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

Jamie Sterry fired wide from an excellent position for Doncaster early in the second half before MK Dons found the equaliser in the 58th minute. Alex Gilbey raced into space on the right before finding Hogan, who smashed in from 15 yards.

But Rovers were not to be denied as Street raced onto Jay McGrath’s excellent ball over the top and finished well into the far corner.
